The Challenge
The Hampton by Hilton Venice forms part of a wider urban regeneration programme on Isola del Tronchetto. The project required delivery of 324 hotel rooms alongside conference facilities, restaurant spaces, and fitness amenities within a defined programme timeframe.
The building utilised a PREM structural system incorporating beams, concrete columns, and hollow-core slabs. Bathroom installation therefore needed to align precisely with structural sequencing and floor slab progression.
In a hospitality environment where room repetition is high and commissioning deadlines are fixed, bathroom construction required dimensional accuracy, coordinated service integration, and installation aligned directly with the structural build sequence.
Our Solution
Sterchele designed, manufactured, and installed 324 fully finished prefabricated bathroom pods integrated within the PREM structural framework.
Our involvement included:
- Detailed design coordination to align pod geometry with structural beams, columns, and slab configuration
- Interface alignment with drainage, ventilation, and containment strategies within the PREM system
- Factory-controlled manufacture with defined inspection and dimensional verification stages
- Sequenced installation coordinated concurrently with floor slab progression
- On-site technical presence during installation and commissioning to support integrated service verification
Pods were installed in parallel with structural assembly, forming part of a coordinated production-led build strategy rather than a follow-on trade activity.
